24/7/365 CRITICAL HOSPICE PHARMACY DELIVERIES

A large, national hospice pharmacy benefits provider contacted Washington Express after experiencing multiple delivery issues and delays. This client specializes in providing pharmaceutical services to large hospice facilities and in-home hospice patients and needed a faster, more reliable means for delivering end of life medications to their patients. Since the onset of our partnership, Washington Express has maintained an on-time delivery record over 95% to their DC, Maryland and Virginia patients, 24/7/365. As a result of our level of service, attention to detail and reliable and secure services, we’ve even expanded our service areas to better meet their needs in southern Virginia.

food subscription deliveries

A large, well-known food subscription box service that delivers locally sourced groceries to their clients’ homes came to Washington Express in search of a delivery partner. At the start of the pandemic they saw an instant and dramatic uptick in sales as people were looking to get fresh food delivered to their homes without going to the stores. Their current fleet size wasn’t able to accommodate this increased demand and they weren’t able to on-board new drivers easily and efficiently. Washington Express was able to provide them a fleet of the same core drivers to pick-up, route, deliver and return empty cartons to their end users. WEX drivers supplement their existing in-house drivers, saving this customer time and resources in hiring, vetting and insuring additional drivers. We outfitted our vehicles with internal shelving and racking to secure the food boxes and ensure their items were delivered in perfect order.

WORK FROM HOME OFFICE EQUIPMENT DELIVERIES

As most offices went remote due to COVID, our clients were faced with the unique challenge of getting their workforce set up and functional in their new home offices, sometimes with little to no notice. Many employees needed office technologies, ergonomic furniture and various other office resources transported to their homes quickly to limit operational downtime. At Washington Express, we have been able to assist our facilities and administrative customers accomplish these deliveries and moves at little to no notice. Washington Express implemented no-contact deliveries which included photos and emails for each delivery rather than the previously required signature upon delivery.
